That all depends. First, contact your college's counseling office or transfer center to make an appointment with a counselor. Click here to locate your college's website and then search for Counseling which is usually found within the Student Services area.

If you were eligible for a California State University or University of California when you graduated from high school, you may transfer at any time, on a space available basis, with at least a cumulative 2.0 grade point average in all college course work.

If you were ineligible to attend a California State University or University of California because you were lacking a few courses, you may only need to complete those courses with a C grade or better before transferring.

Generally, fifty-six (56) transferable units are required for admission as a transfer student with junior standing.
