account already exists with my information

in My OpenCCC Account

When I attempt to create an account with my email, [email protected].com (for the first time) I get an error that says an account with that email already exists. I'm trying to enroll in classes at SMC on May 9th.

    It is likely that you have already created an OpenCCC account before which explains why the system is saying that an existing account was found with the information you provided. Please follow the steps below to self-recover your account. If you have any further questions or need additional assistance, please contact our helpdesk at 1-877-247-4836.

    1.) Go to www.cccapply.org and type the name of the college and click 'Apply'

    2.) Click Sign In.

    3.) Select 'Forgot Password' and enter your email address

    4.) Click to send you a security code to your email

    5.) Locate the security code in your email and click the link at the bottom to reset you a new password

    I see the email is that same as the one you used to reach out to us. However, are you trying to submit another application in addition to the one already submitted? If so, please call our Helpdesk so an agent can assist you with getting logged into your OpenCCC account. Our agents are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week at 877-247-4836.

    Same thing, when i tried creating an account it said my information already existed. I tried to recover my information but the account has a phone number and an email that to no belong to me. I've never had them either. i did email customer support.
