Returning student: accidentally made 2 accounts?

I was in school a decade ago, but had forgotten my cccapply login info and struggled to find access. I figured it may have been lost to time and created a new account with my current legal name (I married) earlier this year. I applied to Fullerton but was met with identification errors that didn't match their records of me.

I was able to talk with admissions & records today to fix the issue and find my original account. I have successfully logged into my original cccapply & Fullerton/cypress mygateway accounts. I, unfortunately, cannot update my cccapply account email address to what I currently use because I used it to make the new (unnecessary) account.

How will these accidents affect applying for college? Is there a way to delete the second account?

    Having 2 OpenCCC accounts does not affect you when applying and enrolling for a college. If you need assistance with updating your email address, please contact the OpenCCC helpdesk at 1-877-247-4836.
