Account Edit page not accepting changes?

When I tried to make changes to my personal information on my account and save it, it threw me an error instead. Every time I went back and tried to change it again, it threw me the same error like I hadn't done it correctly. I was trying to edit my preferred last name, to be blank. I deleted the text from the field, and checked the box that I did not have a preferred last name. But when I tried to save it, the page told me to "check the box or write in the name", as if I hadn't already done that. Probably just a bug, but how can I make sure my changes get posted?
