.edu mail

when will receive my .edu account

  • When will I receive my edu email

  • Hello Andy Adam,

There are only some community colleges that provide their students with a .edu email address. If you would like to start the process of getting an .edu email address you will need to create an OpenCCC/CCCApply account, then submit an online application with your account to your desired college. Once you have applied to the college and completed all the steps to enrollment you will need to register and pay for those classes. I have provided the instructions below for your reference.

If you have an account but don't have access to your account please reach out to the California Community Colleges Help Desk at 1-877-247-4836 available 24 hours a day 7 days a week or by email at [email protected]

Below are the steps on how to create an OpenCCC account and apply to the college:

    1.) Please begin at CCCApply.org

2.) From the drop-down menu on the right-hand side select the college you are applying to, and click the 'Apply' link, and you will be directed to the college’s Admissions page.

3.) Select the online application link(s) on the Admissions page, you will then be directed to OpenCCC.

4.) Select 'Create an Account.' Account creation is a one-time process, please save account information for future application submissions with OpenCCC.

5.) After creating an OpenCCC account please click on the 'Continue' tab, you will then be directed to the 'My Applications' page.

6.) Select the 'Start a New Application' link to begin the online application.

*Once you have submitted an application to a college it can take 1-2 business days for you to receive your student ID and enrollment information. If more than 2 business days have passed and you have not been contacted by your college, please call our Helpdesk to confirm your application was submitted successfully.

  • I have done already, but still have no .edu mail?

  • Hello MrTruong,

You will need to reach out to your campus to confirm if you have completed your steps to enrollment and also to find out if your college provides their students .edu emails as some community colleges do not. We recommend reaching out to Admissions and Records at your college for more information.

  • I have done already, but still have no .edu mail

  • Hello @max852951753

Once you have applied to college, you will need to complete your Assessment test, Orientation, Counseling, and Registration for classes and fees paid. If you have not yet received your .edu email, you'll need to schedule an appointment with your academic counselor to go over your educational goals. Once your educational goals have been established, your counselor will be able to provide you with your .edu email.
